Those that have read my ramblings know that there are a few things that I am passionate about and one of those is your and my freedoms as Americans. I want to share a few thoughts with you today and ask you to share these thoughts with others.
The "Occupy Movement" is growing all over the country, now I don't think these folks have a real cue as to what they are protesting or what the core motivation is for this movement. I do know that there are some fringe elements and "nut-jobs" who have attached themselves to this movement. I think they are protesting big business and big government being link together and the "common man" being left out of the loop, politically and financially. This is not a new protest, just a different time. I don't know the answer to the problem or how to make all these folks feel warm and fuzzy. What I do know, is that they are free to protest and do so peacefully and petition the government for change. That is what I would like to share some thoughts on with you today.
The United States of America exist today because the common man and woman lead by the wealthy gentry class were willing to challenge the most powerful government in the world in 1776, for economic freedom. Please make a note and understand the American revolt was motivated by taxes and economic conditions, the politics were a side bar. Yes the colonist want to rule themselves and make their own laws, but the root of the matter was the extreme taxes placed on the colonies by the crown, the limitations of free trade and the restriction of people freedoms. The crown had decreed that people were limited to one or two days worth of black powder and lead shot(gun control), all commerce and trade had to be shipped through England(commerce control), all criminal trials had to be tried in England(criminal justice control), and all commerce no matter how small was heavily taxed. The rights of the people had been slowly eroded away, by the upper wealthy ruling class in England, that would have been the bankers, political types, and the head of the government( the King), all in an effort to control the economy and the people. By 1776 the people's right to free speech and assembly were be infringed upon, one more thing for the colonist to protest against.
Does this look anything like America today? I see the similarities, do you? What are the answers? Another American revolution, rioting in the streets, Occupy movement or do we just give up and say "what ever"?
Short of an all out American revolution of the 21st century, there are somethings the average American can do to make things better in our country.
Vote freedom in 2012, do not vote for the guy who says the government can fix all things, or will provide you everything you ever will need. Vote for the person who will save guard your freedom to speak, protest, petition the government, attend or not attend a religious service, to own and carry a gun, to be free from illegal search and seizure and the right to vote. Vote freedom in 2012. How do I know this person? Good question, glad you asked.
Look deeply in to the back ground writings and statement of the individual. Please keep in mind that political types and their handlers are masters of lies, and telling you what they know or think you want to here. The real person comes to the surface when the mics are off and the cameras have gone blank. What has this person said in a side bar conversation, or casual comment? One real way to find out if the candidate is a pro-freedom individual, is investigate their stance on gun control and the Second Amendment freedoms.
The Second Amendment is in the Constitution to allow the people to challenge the government at the point of arms if needed. This freedom was not inserted to allow people to hunt or sport shoot or any of the other "stuff" political types tell us. The framers of the Constitution had just thrown off an unfair and unjust and greedy government, and they wanted the American people to always have that option if needed. There are government types and political types that will tell you that I am wrong and they will lie to you with a straight face. The right to keep and bear arms (own and carry a gun) is the best indicator of the political candidates freedom stance. You can not believe what they say in public, you and I must do due diligence and find out what the say off the record to get a true insight to their value of freedom. Why is the Second Amendment a good indicator? Because once that freedom is done away with the others will follow shortly there after. The political types really do not like those who would disagree with their opinions and would just as soon eliminate the right of freedom of the press and speech. There are people who want to control what you and I say and will call it "hate speech" just to silence someone who has a different opinion.
One example is the control the Canadian government now has over public speakers in that country, pastors, political speakers, any public speaker can be charged with "hate speech" if they offend someone, based on religion, sexual orientation, race or any other number of factors, however before that law could be passed the Canadian people had to be dis-armed, it is now very hard for a Canadian citizen to purchase a gun and they have to jump through a lot of government hoops.
Observe what has happened in the United Kingdom(England) now that the general public can not own a gun. Crime rate has and continues to soar, up over 600%.
I use all of this to say a few simple things. The US Constitution and the Bill of Rights included there in is under attack by those who want to control you. The loss of the Second Amendment right to Keep and Bear arms is the key to destroying all of your other rights.
Don't believe the candidates public words, dig deeper and learn the truth. Mr Obama and his friends in Washington DC want to strip you of your rights. Wake up America and vote FREEDOM, that maybe what prevents the 21st century American revolution.

Observations on the "Occupy Movement"
Having read the demands and complaints for the Occupy "you name the place" movement, I have a few observations.
1) Most of these folks seem to be unemployed or underemployed individuals and have student loans they can't, but need to pay.
2) Most of the these folks appear to want everything to be given to them, example, they want to start out in the work field of their choice at the top, or at least half way up the ladder.
3) Because they have not sacrificed for much of anything in their lives, they don't want to scrape by and work their way up the ladder success.
4) Most of them would not stand and fight for anything; everything I have read from the posting of the folks appear to be very weak.
5) They all seem to be mad at the corporations for being successful.
6) The government should provide some type of help to me and the rest of our group and take it away from the corporations and people that have worked to earn it, is what they proclaim in a nut shell so to speak.
7) We need food, blankets, and supplies, someone please send these items to us, because we don't work therefore we can't buy the stuff and stealing is to much like work.
8) Most of these folks have a gross misunderstanding of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
9) Freedom to Assemble does not mean you can block traffic on the street. The right to petition the government for redress of grievances doesn't apply to corporations and the government has only limited(too much, if you ask me) control of corporations.
10) The government control of corporation should be increase according to these folks or businesses should be controlled somehow. The economic problem we now have are due in part to the government getting into the business of business control.
The Wording from the Declaration of Independence: Life, liberty and pursuit happiness, was originally life, liberty and the pursuit of wealth, according to some historians; being as the driving factor behind the Revolution was commerce, that very well may be true.
My answer to the "Occupy" crowd is similar to Herman Cain, GO GET A JOB. If you can't find one make one, then you won't have time to sit around and eat someone else food that is provided to you at no cost.

I Died Today
I died today, my little lifeless body was buried in a shallow grave in the dirt of my poor country, by my grieving parent, you see I only knew my mom. Dad never stayed around and I did not know him at all. Mom tried to provide for us, me and my three siblings, a girl and two brothers, I was the youngest. There was never enough food to feed us all at the same time, so mom fed us on different days, and she would go for days without eating so she could feed us. The water we drank was smelly and tasted bad. After I drank the water I got really sick and was throwing up everything and even threw-up blood. In a few days I got a little better, but we had to drink more water because it is very hot where I lived and even my brother got sick too. We were so sick we could not eat, but that meant more for the rest of the family. Most of the food we had came from the trash pile and what others had thrown out. The village I lived in is small and very poor, everyone works hard to survive, we did not have a doctor and no school, I would have liked to go to school and became a doctor. I remember the water more than anything, the smell was so bad, but we were so thirsty, we drank it.
One day a man from a place call America, came to our village and he brought a big tank and he said it had clean water in it and we all came to the center of the village and we all had clean water that day. I will always remember that day, the water was so good, no smell and oh the taste, so good. While the American was in our village he told us stories about a man called Jesus and how He was the son of God and that one day we could meet God if we believed in Jesus. He told us about living water that was pure and clean, that day I ask Jesus for living clean pure water, I was 5 two days later. After a week the American left with his tank and promised to come back and dig a water well so we could always have clean water, I know he meant it, because he was very nice to all of us and left all of the water from his tank in our village. The clean water ran out and the American did not return and we all had to drink the old water again. We really hoped that the American would come back soon and get us more clean water, but days went by and no American and no water well.
I started to get sick again from the bad smelly water, and mom could not make it any better, she did everything she could. I just got sicker and sicker, I died today at the age of five.
I now know that the American was telling the truth about Jesus and God, you see today I have all the water I can ever need and it is clear, cool and clean. Jesus met me the moment I died and He took me to heaven and I got to meet God Himself and He loved me and made everything better. I now know the American is working hard to raise enough money in America to drill wells in my poor country, he told the truth. I am not sad because I left my family, I am with Jesus and everything will be good, I do wish the American could hurry and drill the well so my brothers, sister and mom don't get sick and die too. My brother wants to be a doctor and my sister wants to be a teacher and start a school in our village.
Can you please help the American that needs money to drill a well in my poor village?

What is the Root Problem in America?
"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."
Copied directly from the Constitution of the USA, do you notice a common thread running through the words, even unwritten it jumps off the page at you. Let me help you out a little, it is idea that we, the American people have a common interest and a common goal as a whole community. The writers believed that Americans were bound together by a common purpose and a general goal and that thought created a community of commonality. People were concerned about their welfare and that of their families, but would also be concerned about the welfare of their neighbor and community and country. They were individuals bound together by a common purpose and belief and that bond created strength and unity of purpose. People would put their differences aside to defend America, did they sometime disagree politically, yes and strongly, but when needed they would stand together.
I would submit to you today that America in made of individuals that do not regard themselves as having anything in common with anyone outside of their family. We have become a nation of "me's" and "I's" and that is all that is important. What is in it for me? Why should I care about someone in a different part of the town where I live or the country for that matter. We are no longer united in commonality of mission, everyone wants their piece of the pie and the devil with everyone or everything else. The government should give me what I want and provide for me, I don't think I should pay taxes, or fees, I should have a new house and car at the expense of the government. No I don't want to work and do my share for someone I don't know. The "me" generation has given way to most self centered least informed and least caring group of Americans ever.
Not to different in the Christian church today, there is division over important and unimportant issues. People of faith seem to forget that we are bound together by Jesus and He told us to go and teach what He taught, make disciples and baptist believers, lay hands on the sick, cast out demons and speak in unknown tongues. That is a combined teaching from the last chapters of the Gospel of Matthew and Mark. There is a common theme that runs here and to make it very simple, three things are important: Make disciples, teach what He taught, and baptist people. Simple and common goals for all churches.
The preamble to the Constitution is pretty simple too, and clearly gives the goals for the American people. It is time that the people of America returned to the simple plan of the Constitution and the people of Jesus returned to the simple plan He gave us.
You are free because someone paid for your freedom with their blood and life. Jesus paid for your sins and you can be free through Him and the American military paid for your freedom with their blood so you could live freely.

Government Vs God...God's Response
With so many people in American society today claiming that the government must do something about anything they view as a problem, I think a quick review of government role and God's role in our personal and public lives is in order.
The role of the American government is to clearly delineated in the opening statement of the Constitution:
"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."
The people gave limit power to an elected body to pass laws to accomplish the above objective. The elected body is Congress and state legislatures and these governmental bodies are suppose to pass law that work for the good of the people. Now a law is nothing more than a rule that one must follow, or be held accountable by the government and fined, jailed or both. Most laws completely remove your right to choose or grossly limit that right. For example you have the ability to drive a vehicle at 100 mph, yet the government(for the general good) limits you to a speed limit. You really don't have much of a choice. In some circles there are people who feel the government should control your choices from the time you are born until you die, (it is referred to as cradle to grave government care). For example there has recently been put out to the public, the idea that obese children are being abused by their parents feeding them to much and that the government should step in and do something like take custody of the children. The government now tells you that you must purchase health insurance or you will be fined or taxed into submission. I do not think this is what is meant by "promote general welfare", just as I suspect that government "entitlements" were not what was thought of this was written.
So to sum this up in a simple sentence: Some people in the government don't think you are smart enough to manage your own life and therefore they must provide for you everything and what you receive from them is what you must be happy with. We are from the government and we are going to help you.
Compare that to God, who says, I love you and want what is best for you. I have made a way for you, but you are certainly free to refuse my way and go your own. I gave you everything that you needed and then provided a way to live a mostly happy, healthy and prosperous life. Through Jesus I provided you a free way out of sin and death, all you had to was accept it. By putting My kingdom first and using your talent, time and money, I will bless you and you will prosper, but you are free to refuse my offer. If you put my Kingdom first and give of your finances, I will give more back to you, no it will not be instant, but it will come. If you serve me I will make you a light in your world for freedom and grace. You will have the chance to tell people about what I can do and how many blessing are in your life because you serve me. No it will not always be easy and sometimes it will be scary and difficult, but it will never be boring. I even can provide healing for your physical body when needed, no health insurance required and no co-payment needed. That being said, I created it all and I keep it all going and moving in the right direction, if I take my hand off of something it spins in to chaos. Take a look at the countries that have turned their backs on me, how did it work out for them?
America was born from the desire of men and women to be free and to be able to worship Me and serve Me, I guided it and I blessed it and I prospered it. Now the government want to claim the credit and the people who don't want Me in their lives deny what I did for America some of them even deny that I exist. I will remove my hand one day and if you think it is bad now, just wait. The other option is better, repent, turn from your wicked ways and I will heal your land. The choice is yours, choose wisely. I love you.
FATHER GOD, JESUS the SON and HOLY SPIRIT, all three in one.

What Would Jesus Say About Same Sex Marriages?
Recently a friend of mine sent me a link to a magazine article from a Christian magazine and the article was written by a pastor who was concerned about the legalization of same sex marriages in New York; with the question WWJD or what would Jesus do? I have thought about that and prayed about that for a few days and I here now offer my humble opinion on that topic. I make no apologies that I write this from a Pentecostal Christian view point, one might could subtitle this "What should the Christian Church Do About Same Sex Marriages".
God delivered to Moses a large body of laws for the people of Israel to live by, some of these laws were for spiritual living and holiness, some of them were for general health of physical living, and some of them were for moral health and all were important.
Now Jesus fulfilled the spiritual laws required for holiness and salvation, and you and I are no longer under the Old Covenant that requires an animal sacrifice for the atonement of sin, Jesus paid that price once and for all. PETA would down our throats if we were still doing animal sacrifices.
Jesus did not abolish the Laws of God, He completed and fulfilled them. Matthew 5:17. Jesus made it clear that the moral and physical health laws that God gave Moses were not to be abolished. They were for the good of the nation, now I know some of them seem silly today, because we now have chemicals to kill mold and drugs to treat diseases, so maybe some of the physical life laws don't apply as much today as they did 4000 years ago.
That being said the moral life laws, I believe are still as applicable today as they were when they were given. Leviticus chapter 18 gives clear instructions about sexual relationship(whom you are NOT suppose to have sex with), verse 15 clearly refers to homosexual relationships. Matthew 5:27-28 deals with adultery and then 29-30 instructs us to take serious action to avoid sin and temptation. Matthew 7:1-5 deals with judging others when you yourself have sin issues to deal with. I have put down a foundation lets build a clear statement from this.
We have no record of Jesus ever officiating a wedding service nor a funeral. We do however have Jesus confronting the church leaders for not doing good on the Sabbath, and being hypocritical towards the laws of God. Jesus healed on the Sabbath and His disciples picked grain to eat on the Sabbath all in direction violation of the tradition of the elders of the temple. I have never found a law in the Bible against healing or feeding yourself or someone else on the Sabbath, yet church leaders condemned Him for healing people on the Sabbath.
Jesus confronted the church leaders for this type of action, condemning others while in sin themselves, that is why we have Matthew 7:1-5, please note that Jesus was not saying "Do not judge the difference between right and wrong", He was referring to passing judgement on other people and their sin, while you are neck deep in your own sin. For many years this piece of scripture has been thrown at anyone (include the Christian church) who commented on someone else involved in sin or wrong doings. I have had that thrown at me in the past. I think Jesus is going to confront the church leaders about not speaking out about this sin issue and all the others.
Jesus would be calling the church to stand up and speak the moral and Holy Truth to this issue. No more namby pamby, don't won't to hurt your feeling, everyone must feel good preaching. The truth is God finds it to be an abomination to His holiness and Jesus is God. The message is clear and should be loud and strong, NO! Turn from you sin, confess and be healed, flee from this or the end result will be a devil's hell for you.
Alexis de Toqueville a French political thinker and historian wrote the following in his analysis and description of American life, Democracy in America, published in 1835.
I think Jesus would ask "Where is my Church?" "Where are my people?" Then He would weep as He did for Jerusalem. Yes I think Jesus would call it what it is, a sin and then He would call the sinner to repentance and tell them to go and sin no more. Yes Jesus loves the sinner and hates the sin, what a great example to the church today. Love the sinner and hate the sin, stand strong for holiness and God's loving law. Be loud and strong, preach the truth in love, but never back down.

God delivered to Moses a large body of laws for the people of Israel to live by, some of these laws were for spiritual living and holiness, some of them were for general health of physical living, and some of them were for moral health and all were important.
Now Jesus fulfilled the spiritual laws required for holiness and salvation, and you and I are no longer under the Old Covenant that requires an animal sacrifice for the atonement of sin, Jesus paid that price once and for all. PETA would down our throats if we were still doing animal sacrifices.
Jesus did not abolish the Laws of God, He completed and fulfilled them. Matthew 5:17. Jesus made it clear that the moral and physical health laws that God gave Moses were not to be abolished. They were for the good of the nation, now I know some of them seem silly today, because we now have chemicals to kill mold and drugs to treat diseases, so maybe some of the physical life laws don't apply as much today as they did 4000 years ago.
That being said the moral life laws, I believe are still as applicable today as they were when they were given. Leviticus chapter 18 gives clear instructions about sexual relationship(whom you are NOT suppose to have sex with), verse 15 clearly refers to homosexual relationships. Matthew 5:27-28 deals with adultery and then 29-30 instructs us to take serious action to avoid sin and temptation. Matthew 7:1-5 deals with judging others when you yourself have sin issues to deal with. I have put down a foundation lets build a clear statement from this.
We have no record of Jesus ever officiating a wedding service nor a funeral. We do however have Jesus confronting the church leaders for not doing good on the Sabbath, and being hypocritical towards the laws of God. Jesus healed on the Sabbath and His disciples picked grain to eat on the Sabbath all in direction violation of the tradition of the elders of the temple. I have never found a law in the Bible against healing or feeding yourself or someone else on the Sabbath, yet church leaders condemned Him for healing people on the Sabbath.
Jesus confronted the church leaders for this type of action, condemning others while in sin themselves, that is why we have Matthew 7:1-5, please note that Jesus was not saying "Do not judge the difference between right and wrong", He was referring to passing judgement on other people and their sin, while you are neck deep in your own sin. For many years this piece of scripture has been thrown at anyone (include the Christian church) who commented on someone else involved in sin or wrong doings. I have had that thrown at me in the past. I think Jesus is going to confront the church leaders about not speaking out about this sin issue and all the others.
Jesus would be calling the church to stand up and speak the moral and Holy Truth to this issue. No more namby pamby, don't won't to hurt your feeling, everyone must feel good preaching. The truth is God finds it to be an abomination to His holiness and Jesus is God. The message is clear and should be loud and strong, NO! Turn from you sin, confess and be healed, flee from this or the end result will be a devil's hell for you.
Alexis de Toqueville a French political thinker and historian wrote the following in his analysis and description of American life, Democracy in America, published in 1835.
I sought for the greatness and genius of America in her ample rivers - it was not there; in her fertile fields and boundless prairies, and it was not there; in her rich mines and her vast world commerce, and it was not there. Not until I went into the churches of America and heard her pulpits ablaze with righteousness did I meet the secret of her genius and power. America is great because she is good, and if America ceases to be good, she will cease to be great.
Americas' pulpits need to be ablaze again, the fire has died in many places to a very low coal barely burning and in other places the coals are completely cold. This the real tragedy in this whole story.I think Jesus would ask "Where is my Church?" "Where are my people?" Then He would weep as He did for Jerusalem. Yes I think Jesus would call it what it is, a sin and then He would call the sinner to repentance and tell them to go and sin no more. Yes Jesus loves the sinner and hates the sin, what a great example to the church today. Love the sinner and hate the sin, stand strong for holiness and God's loving law. Be loud and strong, preach the truth in love, but never back down.

More Tax Revenues and Less Crime or the Way to Solve the Mexican Drug War and reduce the American National Debt
This is to simple and I know others have thought of this, but I am going to put it out there and get booed and hissed at by some and others will love the idea. Let's face a few simple facts first.
1) The American national debt is freaking out of control and no one is willing or able to stop it.
2) Illegal drugs will not go away, no matter how much is spent on enforcement or education people are still going to use, buy and sell drugs. During the 1930 when the United States completely prohibited the manufacture or sale of alcoholic beverages, there was a huge illegal business in that exact thing.
3) The government (state and national) want more tax money and the people in control are willing to take that money from you.
4) The problems in Mexico are being blamed on the USA, because we are the biggest user of the drugs they supply, no we do not supply the guns to the cartels, no matter what the ATF or any government idiot tells you.
The USA should legalize all drugs, from marijuana to the hardest opium based drug, I am talking about all of the drugs. The next step would be to tax the usage of these drugs, much like liquor and cigarette taxes. I can promise you this businesses would start making these high quality clean drugs, regulate how they are sold like smokes, liquor and other controlled items and let the users purchase and use them. It goes with out saying that working and driving and things that are prohibited while under the influence of any intoxicant would remain so.
Once manufactures started producing cost effective and safe drugs the illegal trade would decrease greatly and the tax base would increase greatly. Those folks who are employed trying stop the drugs could simply start managing the manufacture, sale and regulation of the new legal drugs. I know that there will always be someone who wants to sell, manufacture and distributed drugs illegally and therefore we will need some enforcement people for combating that group.
I know this is a wild idea, but I think it would work, we will never win the war on drugs until we cut of the money supply and the way to do that is redirect it.

Time to Overhaul the Federal Law Enforcement Agencies
The more I watch the news about the BATFE (Bureau of Alcohol, Tabacco, Firearms and Explosives) and the Fast and Furious, Gun Runner investigation, the more I think it is time to overhaul the Federal law enforcement agencies.
Many of the men and women who work for these agencies are great and honorable people who have dedicated their lives to public service and law enforcement and I salute them and say thank you.
However it would appear that as certain individuals move up through the ranks they develop a sense that they know better what needs to be enforced, than the law they are sworn to enforce. I will grant that some laws are stupid and should not be enforced, however when administrators in a law enforcement agency decide to violate the law to pursue a political agenda something has to be done. It is time for the US Congress to take a long hard look at the Federal Law Enforcement agencies, of which there are many.
Is it possible that some agencies have out lived there useful life and need to be abolished or merged with another agency to stream line enforcement. The BATFE has long history of trying to go undercover into motorcycle gangs that trade in firearms, good idea, but the FBI has a very effective organized crime unit and motorcycle gangs that traffic guns are organized crime. The BATFE has a group that looks for smugglers of all types weapons, explosives, alcohol, tobacco, yet the are limited to working with in the USA and have a very small presence out side the borders of America. The DEA engages in anti-smuggling operations on a regular basis and we have operators with the DEA around the world. Trust me on this guns and drugs go together.
I could list many more examples, but I won't take up your valuable time. The question arises, what can I do about all this, simply put: write, call or email your elected Congressional Representative and Senator and ask them to investigate. You are slowly losing your freedoms unless you stand and stop the theft.

Freedom Under Assault
Our freedoms in America are under a slow, steady, sneaky assault, not just one, but all. It is important to understand that there are individuals in the current government that want to regulate one of your rights for the well being of the mass population, and they will try to regulate all of those rights. How do they do this you might ask? Let me share some thoughts with you.
If someone wants to restrict one of your rights, they first must make you believe and think it is for your own good, and the good of everyone. For example, if the government wants to restrict what a pastor can say in his or her pulpit, they simply must make people think that any statement disagreeing with current politically correct thought or verbiage is hate speech and must be outlawed. It makes no difference if the statements are true or factual, these statement offended some overly sensitive individual and there fore it must be hate speech. The next step must be making sure that everyone with differing views on anything, (most importantly those that agree with the power brokers) have equal or more time to make their case in the media. Finally the the last step is to have complete control of the media(radio, television, and print), thus eliminating the right of free speech. If you would like to see how that plays out take a look at the countries in the Middle East of late. State run TV and news, communications shut down by the state, only what the power brokers want on the news got there. Complete control of the freedom speech, really means no freedom of speech.
Gun control supporters use the same type of plot. I read a quote from and Egyptian citizen the other day and he made the statement: " I always thought gun ownership was just an American thing, after the police left the streets I got a gun from my grandfather and now I have it all the time, it is a good thing to be able to protect my family. Now I understand the American thing about guns." Make no mistake about it your Second Amendment rights are under attack also.
The First Amendment is under attack on the religion side of things also. The government will someday wish to tell you what you can believe in and worship, my bet is it will be the "god" of Environmentalism and "green". Soon, if the current administration in the USA has its way there will be a tax on operation of your private vehicle. How about that for restrictive.
What can you do about this? Good question, I have few answers.
1) Pray to God that our country will be a light on a hill for Jesus, and all those that disagree with this idea will see the love of Jesus in His followers.
2) Work with in the system to vote into office defenders of freedom.
3) Stop asking the government to do things that the government should not worry about, no the government can not take care of your every need or want from the cradle to the grave.
4) Demand the governing people return to the Constitution of the United States.
5) Demand that the United State withdraw from the United Nations, and stop funding that organization.
Your continued freedom or lack there of depend upon what you do.

Mission Trip Support

Dear Christian Brother and Sister,
It is my prayer and hope that this letter finds you well and living in the love of God through Jesus Christ our Savior. I understand that your time of valuable, and therefore I will not ask you to labor through a great deal of introduction as to the purpose of this letter.
The Bible tells us in the Old Testament and the New Testament that evangelism is one of the most important works in which we are to be engaged. Proverbs 24:11 tells us to “rescue those being led away to death” and 12 tells us that “each person will be rewarded according to what he has done”. Jesus gave us commands to teach others what He taught us, Matthew, Mark and Luke all have the theme of evangelism in the last writing of each book.
I have been afforded the opportunity to go on a short term mission/relief trip to Haiti this summer. As you know that little island country is one of the poorest in the entire world and for years suffered one disaster on top of another. Hurricanes, earthquakes and sickness have ravaged the population of this tiny country. This poor nation does not have the government or the resources to rebuild and is in great need of help; the people are at the point of losing all hope of ever recovering.
The cost of this trip is 1800 to 2000 dollars, depending upon air fare prices; I have the personal goal of taking 500 dollars of over the counter medical supplies to several clinics there. I also would like to take with me 500 dollars worth of wrapped candy to give to the children of this country. I truly believe that the Lord has commission me to make this trip. In order to make this trip and provide medical supplies and candy I am in need of 3000 dollars total.
I am sending out 30 letters asking for support for this trip. I believe that God will lay it on your heart to support me with a minimum gift of 100 dollars from each letter and prayers. I understand that these are tough economic times and we all struggle with rising prices for everything. I don’t need to tell you that God honors offering and gifts to expand His kingdom, prayerfully consider supporting me as your representative on this mission trip. Do you understand the meaning behind the great words of this sermon, this is not my sermon but I heard years ago on a tape. It still resounds in my heart like it was yesterday.
Friday of the first Easter was a dark and dreadful day, worse than the worse day of any of our lives. I know you may say how can that be? God allowed His one and only Son, Jesus to be beaten, torture and killed for our sins. Jesus gave up His life for you, and when He died the sky turned dark at noon. That would be a sad story if it ended there, but it didn't.
Sunday came and the stone was rolled away and the tomb was empty. Jesus who was dead, was alive again. No the disciples did not come and steal the body, there were professional soldiers on guard, and the women didn't roll the stone away, that stone would have taken several large men to move.
God love raised His son Jesus from the dead and opened the grave by rolling the stone back.
Yes it may be Friday in your life today, but if you will let Jesus take control, Sunday is Acomin'.
Will you allow Jesus to bring Sunday into your life today? It is my prayer that Jesus reaches your heart today.

How to save the American Tax payers Millions
If we would simply insist that Congress do away with Federal Government agencies that are not needed the budget could be balanced and the tax rate could go down. Let me give you some examples.
Home Land Security agency is a joke, even in law enforcement circles. The FBI has done a great job of preventing attacks on "home soil" and has a long history of doing so. The TSA really means Thousands Standing Around, proper use of Border Patrol, US Marshall Service, Customs and several other agencies would allow the TSA and homeland security to be done away with. Provide the funds and people that are really needed to get the job done properly.
Do away with the Department of Education on the federal level, schools are a local responsibility, why should the local government send monies to Washington DC and then DC simply send it back, if the local districts jump through the right hoops. This not a circus, let the local districts keep their money.
Do away with the Federal Department of Transportation, the building of roads should be left up to the states, don't take our tax money to pay someones do nothing salary and then give us only part of it back. Leave the money on the state level and we can take care of our own roads. The Federal grants are really money taken away from the state and local government.
Do away with the social welfare agencies on the Federal level, return that power and money to the local government and let the local government meet the area needs, they know the needs better than someone in Washington.
Do away with the IRS as it is today, flat tax everyone and business at a rate of 10% and you will not need the HUGE Internal Revenue Service, the IRS could go back to what they should be doing. Perhaps the "Fair Tax" method would work and in a nut shell that is a Federal/Local sales tax.
There are ways to reduce the Federal government, it will take people with back bones and courage to do it.

True Government Down-Sizing
By a large majority, the people of the USA voted last fall for smaller and leaner government, that has yet to materialize in any real form. The American people sent a message to Congress to reduce the out of control spending and taxing of the Federal government. Yet we have seen that the Congress continues to spend and the President called for more investments (spending) from the government in areas that should be private industrial development, if there is real money to be made the private sector will get busy on the development. So how in the world can we reduce the Federal spending and "get our house in order"? I think there are ways to do this and not gut social security and the department of defense and the department of justice.
First abolish the department of education on the federal level, return the power to the states where in belongs in the first place and let the states keep the money that was sent to the federal level. Part of your tax dollar is sent to Washington D.C. for the federal department of education, people with good educations in offices that have no idea about what happens in a classroom day and day out, spend days just moving that money around and then sending it back to the states, of course they divide it up so that the states with the more powerful Congress-persons, get the bigger share. Do away with the waste of time and energy and leave the money in the state where it is collected, allow the states and the local government to have the money and spent it the way they need to.
Secondly do away with the federal department of transportation and return the money and power over roads and transportation to the state level. The federal DOT follows the same pattern as the federal department of education and it is wasteful.
Thirdly return welfare and public assistance to the state and local level, allow the states to have the monies raised by their own taxes to provide public assistance as the individual state voters see fit. Include in this some law enforcement and one could reduce the size of the department of justice and homeland security while maintaining the effectiveness. Do the people the USA really need as many Federal law enforcement agencies as we have? It would seem to me that some of the agencies could be merged and managed more effectively.
Local governments are having to take drastic steps to maintain services such as fire and police protection, and to keep the local class rooms filled with quality teachers and assistances.The question is always raised can we get help from the Federal level? What would it be like if we kept our education and transportation and security tax money locally? Better I am willing to bet.
Notice that I did not mention cutting the Department of Defense or the Social Security. I think that there are many other areas that could be returned to the state and local level, this would reduce the national spending level and there by reducing our national debt level. The jobs lost at the federal level would to some extent be off set by new local government jobs.

Freedom of Speech
I normally blog about your Second Amendment rights, today I need to let you know something important. Your First Amendment rights are under attack also. The latest round of "hate speech" legislation is coming before many state legislative bodies and even in Congress. It sounds like making people talk civil and nice to each other is a good idea, and I agree that we should be civil and courteous in action and speech to each other. There is a Biblical principle here, "treat others as you want to be treated" my paraphrase. I agree and support this principle and work hard to live that out, however that doesn't mean I can't disagree with someone and say so.
Under some of the "hate speech" legislation being introduced around the country simple disagreement with someone could be ruled as hate speech. By simply speaking in public and making a statement that a life style is wrong or that someone actions are offensive could be ruled as hate speech. Let me give you an example, as strange as it may sound there is a move afoot in the mental health community to have pedophilia declared and alternative life style. If that was accepted, then speaking out against pedophilia could be considered hate speech. I personally disagree with the gay/lesbian life style, if that community is successful, saying so could result in a criminal charge of hate speech against me. This could be broadly applied for many groups.
I do not wish to have my First Amendment right of free speech to be restricted. I would rather have people have their feeling hurt and hear the truth, than not speak the truth and see the results. What are the results of not speaking the truth? Good question, let us reason together and determine some of the answers.
If an individual is doing a wrong thing and that wrong thing will result in an eternity in the devil's hell, I want to be able to tell them the truth. If a person is doing activities that result in someone being hurt or abused, I want to be free to say something. If an individual is trying to remove our American rights I want to be able to say something. Freedom of speech and press are critical to our American way of life. One of founding fathers said the following: "Were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers, or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter."

Why Do Many Public Leaders Promote Gun Control?
Many politicians promote gun control and guns bans as a way to control crime and criminals. Mayor Bloomberg spends more time worrying about national gun control than administering the government of New York city. He and the others that work for gun control use all kinds of miss-information and will resort to out right lies to convince you that they are looking out for your best interest and that guns are the root cause of all evil. They ignore the facts, let us examine the truth of fact for a minute.
Fact 1) Guns do not kill people, people kill people.
Fact 2) More people die from people driving and text messaging everyday than guns, source CDC
Fact 3) Where legal guns sales increase crime decreases, source "More Guns, Less Crime"..a statistical study of gun ownership/sales and crime rates.
Fact 4) Criminals do not care about gun laws. They do not buy guns at retailers or gun shows, they steal guns or buy the guns on the street from someone who stole it.
Fact 5) Criminals like it when they are the only ones who have guns. Criminals do not turn in guns at some type of turn it in promotion, only law abiding people do that.
The truth of the matter is a little deeper and more sinister than all those politicians will really tell you. They want you to believe that they have your best interest in the fore front of their plans and that you are safer if only the police and military have guns. The truth of the matter is that if only police and military have guns the politicians have total control of the masses. That is part of the plan, now I am not one of anti-government types, but the truth of it is that if the American people did not have the right to keep and bear arms the other rights of the American people would be empty promises and hollow words. The power brokers would like to see all Americans unarmed and the military and paramilitary then only people with firearms. You must remember that men and women in these services are trained to response to the orders of their superiors and not to consider the correctness of these orders. How do I know this, I was one.
One of the safest countries in the world has very liberal gun laws and most of the population owns guns and shoots on a regular basis. The people of this country enjoy a low crime rate and strong economy, and freedoms. The Swiss got it right.
What would you prefer a free society and private ownership of firearms with less crime, and individual rights or a more controlled society with no private ownership of firearms, no individual rights and higher crime rates? I will take the first option.

American Freedom
The Arab world is starting to come apart at the seams. Riots in Egypt and Yemen and other countries are starting to see unrest. One must remember that most of these places are ruled by kings, princes or presidents for life( that's code for dictator). These citizens must take to the streets to address their government because they have no way to have their grievances addressed by their government.
It should be noted that some of these governments call themselves democratic and free, however they rule for the good of a few and ignore the needs of the masses. The people have no freedoms to express themselves or to better themselves. At times one would think that the US government is run the same way, however the American people still have the right to work hard and improve their condition. We still have the right to address our government and demand changes, we have the right to run for elected office if we so desire, and we can vote. We have the right to speak out with out fear of government reprisal, to a point.We can still go or not go to what ever church we desire. These rights are not to be sniffed at and are of great value. These rights are promised and guaranteed and guarded by the Constitution, all of the these rights are only as good rights of Americans to defend them, through the exercise of these rights. The one right that is insured in the Constitution is the right to keep and bear arms, this right was inserted to insure that the other rights would not be taken away by the government.
As Thomas Jefferson wrote, in a letter to Abigail Adams on February 22, 1787 he wrote, "The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions that I wish it to be always kept alive. It will often be exercised when wrong, but better so than not to be exercised at all."
As to individual rights: He defines it by saying, "Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law,' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual."
Jefferson and I would encourage you to protect you to protect your life and your freedoms.

Gun Control or Criminal Control...which works best?
January 23 and 24 were tough days for US law enforcement, 11 officers shoot, some died at the scene and some are in the hospitals in their locals, any way one describes it, that is wrong on many levels. Having a background in law enforcement and a son in law enforcement and many friends in the field, this hits home hard. My prayers are for a speedy and full recovery of injured officers and God comfort on the families of those killed.
I heard Mayor Bloomberg, of NYC call for stronger gun control laws and he was joined by a number of well meaning, but miss informed people. I am not understanding why these folks are so uninformed, because they are smart and well educated. Criminals do not buy guns from legal gun stores or dealers. Criminals buy guns on the street corner, and don't care about permits or the law or back ground investigations. The only people who are effected by gun control laws are the law abiding citizens who are not going to use a gun for illegal purposes.
Let's look at a few cities and do a contrast. Camden NJ, is considered one of the most dangerous cities in the USA, and recently had to lay off over 100 police officers, in NJ it is very difficult to purchase or own a gun. In 2009, Camden had the highest crime rate in the U.S. with 2,333 violent crimes per 100,000 people while the national average was 455 per 100,000. Camden NJ had a population of 79,904 in 2000. New York and Chicago both have very high crime rates and yet it is almost impossible to own a handgun in either of these two cities. That however does not stop the gang members and criminals. Wilmington NC, is a city similar in size to Camden NJ yet the crime rate has fallen over the last 3 years, is there crime, yes, but less of it. Why is that? Good question, one reason I can point to is the right of the people in NC to protect themselves, by owning and carrying a firearm.
So what then is the answer? I don't have the complete answer, but my family has been victim of criminals and I would like to suggest that the laws be changed to control criminals. My cousin was beaten to death by two people he tried to help. Tommy for what ever reason was not armed, but then again he was a big strap of a man and normally everyone like Tommy, he alway had a quick comment and grin. I am sure the two criminals that killed my cousin had run afoul the law before, because they were bumming their way across the country. What would be today if these two had been held in jail somewhere for some crime committed. Then my question is, what would have happened if my cousin had been armed, having spend a few days shooting and hunting and fishing with him, I know he could defended himself with a firearm.
Criminals are tried and convicted of violent crime and then released on probation with little or no supervision. Criminals charge with rape, molestation and other horrible violent crimes are routinely released on low bonds and to meet their financial needs for court turn right back to crime.
Recently a young man moved to NJ, and to avoid legal problems with his two legally owned handguns, he did his research and complied with the NJ law. When he mentioned to someone that his guns were in the trunk and locked, the local law enforcement was called. The officers tried not to arrest the young man, however they were forced to by a ADA. The man was tried and found guilty of weapons charges and sentenced to seven years in prison. However the trial violated many of the mans civil rights and he has been pardoned by the governor of NJ. Yet a criminal in NJ may only receive a suspended sentence for a violent crime.
Gun control does not work....criminal control does, it is time the American justice system changes the focus.

Religion Scam or Truth?
The atheist community have posted a bill board that has symbols from the five major world religions on it and the words that say " You know it is a SCAM". They may want to be careful, the Christians will throw words and talk at them and maybe pray for them, the Buddhist and Hindus will probably ignore them, but the Islamic faithful may declare jihad against them.
I really can't disagree with the statement, because over all it is a true statement. Many in the organized religions have convoluted these religions so much that it is a scam. The truth of the matter is that true religion turns into to action to serve those in need. The Christian faith(notice I said faith) demands us to serve others. Matter of fact James wrote in his letter "Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. (James 1:27 NKJV)", one translations says to 'look after" and another says "take care of". With this in mind, religion as it is practiced today very well may be a scam.
The challenge is to put your religion into action and there by convert it to a loving and living faith. Faith in God, through Jesus and the empowerment by the Holy Spirit is no scam. This I know because I have proven it many times in my own life. When we give to others, time, talent, funds, love, kindness, and mercy it is returned to us. Paul wrote in a letter," A man reaps what he sows." Jesus washed His disciples feet, that was the lowest form of service in the household of that time and was reserved for the lowest of servants or slaves. What should we be doing? Jesus also made the statement, that His followers should help those in need and visit those in prison, and the sick. What a follower Jesus does for the lowest of these, the follower does for Jesus.Check out the story in Matthew 25:34-39.

New Year or What's Next?
I think that the current President has gotten a bad rap of sorts. Now let me say this up front, I am not a supporter of President Obama, nor do I care much for the opponents that ran against him. The President can only accomplish what the Congress will agree to or allow. A new Congress is to be sworn in and get too work very soon and that is a good thing.With that is mind I would like to give you a few things to think about.
1) Most people in Congress think that the average income citizen makes over 100K per year, I don't, how about you?
2) Most people in Congress think that the average citizen is not smart enough to "get out of the rain" or make an informed decision about their life or anything else for that matter.
3) Most people in Congress like to send money and do so with ease, of course it is not their money, it is your money that they are spending. I like to spend other peoples' money too, do you have any extra to give away, I can help you.
4) Most people in Congress are convinced that the average American can not decide or know what their civil rights are or should be, and most certainly you and I can not be responsible for our self defense or personal protection.
5) If the American people continue to act the way they have for the past 20 years the folks in Congress may be correct.
I don't know about you, but I live on half of 100K, when it is raining I go inside, and I am smart enough to know when I can afford to spend money and on what I should purchase. I do not need Congress or the President telling me what I have to buy or how I should spend my income. It is my money and I need it now, to live on. I want people to have the right to say "NO" if they wish and speak their mind. I have friends that disagree with me on political things and they like to do so vocally, that is fine. I will defend their right to disagree with me, to the point of taking up arms to defend them, if need be. I have friends that disagree with me about matters of faith and I will defend their right to do so. People should have the the right decide what they want to do, as long as it is within the bounds of the law. Congress need not pass any more restrictive laws about speech, or freedom of the press, or freedom of religion, or freedom to keep and bear arms, we have all we need in the form of the First Ten Amendments.
New Year, what to you want to tell your elected officials? Are they doing the will of the people or the will of the party? Stay in contact with these people you elected, send them letters, and emails, and phone calls, make your voice heard.
